Storbritannia: Rising inflation is back in the news this month, and poultrymeat and eggs are among the items driving it higher.

The commonly quoted Consumer Prices Index (including owner occupiers’ housing costs, CPIH) rose by 4.1% in the 12 months to April 2025, up from 3.4% in the 12 months to March, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).
