WITH UK supermarkets committed to end their sales of colony eggs this year, the rapid rate of change in the pattern of UK production has begun to lose momentum.
The gap between non-cage and colony production in the UK continued to widen last year, but the rate was slowing down as domestic output comes into alignment with the retailer’s deadline.
